I notice that Syria was almost swept under the carpet, even before conference started.
We just didn’t get round to talking about it. Which is a shame as Nick and I have different views. We had to wrap up as we were in the LDV broom cupboard and the people we were sharing with needed to use it.
There was a topical debate on Syria (I Chaired it) which covered full the range of opinions from intervention to the opposite. So ‘almost swept under the carpet’ is rather unfair.
