Nick Clegg calls voters from the conference #Team2015

This morning, Nick Clegg joined Team 2015 at the conference phone bank to make calls to voters. The phone bank is set up in the middle of the exhibition hall in the Liverpool conference venue, the Arena and Conference Centre. Conference representatives are taking turns to phone voters. The target is to get each rep phoning at least ten voters per day. Those who do this receive a special “I’m in Team 2015” badge. You can see mine below and, modesty almost forbids me to say, I am in the photo, on the right, with Nick Clegg above.
Voter contact is crucial in the run up to the election, psephologists such as Peter Kellner say.

So if businesses make nuisance calls it is bad, but if Lib Dems do it then it is good?

    Not impressed at all.

  • I always pretend to be Count Arthur Strong when cold called, it works as treat.

  • Is Nick Clegg the one who is not wearing a tie?

@John Tilley: he must be- there are 11 people in that photo and none of them are wearing a tie, so given that Nick Clegg is in the photo it follows he is not wearing a tie.

Do you have some sartorial objection to this?
