Local campaigner Anthony Smith selected to fight Heywood and Middleton by-election

Anthony SmithLiberal Democrats in Heywood and Middleton have selected local campaigner Anthony Smith to be the party’s candidate in the by-election on 9 October, brought about by the death of the incumbent Labour MP Jim Dobbin.

Rochdale Online reports:

Mr Smith has lived in Heywood and Middleton for most of his life.
