Tales from the campaign

election

I spotted these two handwritten notes side by side when I was out delivering last week. In case you can’t see this too clearly on your device, they say:

“I will vote for the party who doesn’t waste paper. Give me a leaflet and you’re off the list ..”

“I am undecided. Keep the leaflets coming …”

Ah – a dilemma indeed.

Some weeks ago Caron asked you for your funniest canvassing story, and it produced a ripe crop of stories in the comments, though I don’t think any of them surpassed the unforgettable one submitted by Mark Smulian, which is conveniently the first one you read as you scroll down.

So here is another chance to tell us all, in the comments, about your unexpected, bizarre and frankly smutty experiences from the campaign trail. Please email any funny photos to [email protected] with a sentence or two of explanation.

That’s enough from me for now – I’m off to deliver some blue letters.

Do you think there is any significance in the fact that one is written in orange and the other in green?

  • Two ‘contradicting’ comments in the same window…definitely a ‘House divided against itself”

Not necessarily contradictory,, but may be the wrong way round.

Simple solution- write on top of the leaflet ‘for the green note writer only’
