The Lib Dem fantasy football league: will you be the 70th player?

After the exciting start to the Premier League Season – and much more importantly the Lib Dem Fantasy Football League – I can reveal the answer to the question on everyone’s lips… my team, Dynamo Chicken Kiev, are currently in 64th place out of 69!

For those of you who missed the original post, Peter Taylor and I have started up an unofficial fantasy football league for readers of Lib Dem Voice (although all Lib Dems are welcome). Sixty-nine people have created teams in the hope of winning the prestige – and small prize – of being crowned the league champion.

Currently Amin Fuzi (with his appropriately named team, Always a winner) is top of the league on 74 points, closely followed by Bharat Nadella (F(r)ame of the GOAL!) and Dan Arnold (Vegas XI), both on 70. And although the first week of the season has finished, there is still plenty of time to join and try to come top yourself.

In case all that wasn’t enough, at the end of the season everyone will have the opportunity to vote for the best team name in the league, and a prize shall also be awarded for that as well.

To set up a team go to http://fantasy.premierleague.com (http://m.fantasy.premierleague.com from a smart-phone) and follow the instructions to register. Choose your team name and design your club’s strip, then pick your squad for the season.

Once that’s done, you can choose to join a private league in the league management section – simply enter the code 44642-89667. After which you’ll be part of our league!

If you would like further details the please either contact me or Peter Taylor … you can find us on twitter @chrisjw133 and @McShambles.

This is just for a bit of fun and anyone and everyone is welcome to join.
