I have no idea who had the Lib Dem Press Office Twitter account tonight, but they need to have it more often. They had certainly had their Weetabix this morning and took on all-comers:
I think this might be why our canvassing data was so off. pic.twitter.com/nJpGJ3jNDl

@PoliticoPhilf @timfarron @haveigotnews not many chances to do that at 9pm on BBC, but maybe a few will want to find out more about us now

@brianstokes92 I know. We should have done something normal, like gone for a pint or something.

Oh, and we should mention the falling out with the Labour Lords. I guess the Labour lot needed to distract themselves from the disintegration of their party.

And then someone criticised Tim’s performance and they weren’t standing for that.
@ThatTimWalker maybe we can rope you in for a 'wit' briefing?

Sometimes you can be too honest about your strategy:
@trundleforth we're open to any ideas to win votes 😉

Heaven knows what our press team would be like if they adopted the Scottish tradition of Whisky o’clock at 5pm on a Friday. If this quality banter continues, they’ll have to go on Tumblr… The Obama campaign did in 2012 and it was quite bizarre. They even used the F word on occasion, and I don’t mean federalism.

Good stuff press office. Keep it up 24/7.
Can whoever did those tweets be put in charge of all party communication from now on? 🙂
You missed this beauty : ” I reckon once she hears our ‘a tree for every child’ policy she’ll be stuffing envelopes.” It might be time to actually start following on Twitter!
