Today’s leadership news links

The only thing I could find this morning was this Q&A between Chris Huhne and the readers of the Independent which includes questions on the nature of liberalism. drug use, whether Chris should be ashamed to be wealthy, and a couple of good policy questions.

If you know of more news web links, do post them in the comments.

  • I’ve posted links to this elsewhere but it could do with being a separate news item. Chris and Nick on Andrew Marr yesterday.

  • Hmm, I tried to post some links earlier, but it seems they went to the spam file?

Well, anyway, a good tool for anyone who is editing this blog and wants to find daily news about the contenders is Google News.

  • I seem to be blocked. Oh well, your loss, not mine.

I despair! Huhne and Clegg just are NOT leadership material however much we might try to kid ourselves to the contrary.

Chat show Charlie drunk is better than these two sober !!

Can I make a suggestion which I know will have an appeal to the Liberal Democrats ? Why not have a leadership ‘job share’ ? Oh no, I hear you cry, not a return to the days of the Two Davids !

But this would be different. Rather like those ‘job-shares’ which a part-time mother might undertake in partnership with an executive who wants more time to spend on the golf course.

He would come in on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and hand over to her for Thursdays and Fridays ? It could work, with Nick Clegg working Mondays and Tuesdays, Chris Who-on in on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Steve Webb on Fridays, and Goldsworthy covering all-important weekends [well, it is a 24/7 media world out there].

Go on, how could you lib dems possibly disagree with a progressive, liberal, diversity aware idea like this ?
