Tories suspend Andrew Pelling MP

This is the Tory statement as reported by the BBC:

“Following a meeting today with the Chief Whip, Andrew Pelling’s case has been referred to the Conservative Party’s Ethics and Integrity Committee. Until a conclusion is reached, he has been suspended from the Conservative Party Whip.”

  • The irony of this is that Andrew Pelling used to collect political positions like some people collect pens. At one time he was a Croydon councillor, leader of Croydon Tory council group, GLA Member and MP for Croydon Central. Now he is just down to being a GLA member and an MP. Although another Tory has already been selected to fight his GLA seat next year, and now his parliamentary seat looks at risk.
