US Presidential election breakfast

In November, the Welsh European Election Campaign is holding a fundraising breakfast at the National Liberal Club (Whitehall Place, London) to see the US Presidential election results come in. Starting at 8am and going on until about 11am, individual tickets cost £25 (or five tickets for £100). More details or tickets from Roger Robers on 01492 876 690.

  • Do the times work? If I remember correctly, the US TV networks declare results the moment voting closes in any states, regardless of the fact that other, more western states may still be voting. If you’re starting at 8am, that’s 3am ET, and surely it’ll all be over.

    Thanks for Presidential Breakfast Comments ! It was to have been a get-together as results were finanlised (after all night TV watching !) Most folk seem to think that the “All night” vigil will be sufficient BUT if you still feel like a fund-raising breakfast please get in touch with me – [email protected] by Monday afternoon. I might be eating a lonely breakfast !! On the other hand…..
