Last week the Conservatives produced a video about their history and “greatest achievements.”
Now the Liberal Democrats have rebutted their “progressive” claims with: “Don’t let the Tories airbrush history” – pointing out a few things they missed.

A work of staggering genius!
Isn’t the point of the original Conservative video that in ‘200 years’ of history they could only find just over eight and a half minutes of things you might describe as vaguely progressive?
Excellent, but a shame we didn’t produce something going over the same timespan. We have a lot more to be proud about! 1903 – women councillors, 1909 – pensions and benefits introduced, 1918 – women get the vote, westminster votes for a fair voting system, 1928 – franchise increased further, 1964 – abortion act, 1975 – equal pay act… And so on!
Hopefully they’ll see your comment Robson and will get started on that video. If we’re going to engage in a youtube war with the Conservatives, we could at least follow up attacks with videos based on our own achievements and goals over 100 years.
What about rail privatisation?
