This sounds great. How is the UK delegation chosen ?
I would like to know the same as Simon – the congress sounds great, how do we elect who attends?
Simon/Richard,
You elect eight members of the Party’s delegation to ALDE Council, all of whom are Congress delegates by right – I’m one of them. Others are nominated by various bodies – State Parties, LDEG, for example. The rest are self-nominated via the International Office as best I can tell, and if there are more nominees than places – unusual as accommodation costs are not reimbursed and Council members get some travel expenses – I assume that the International Relations Committee decide.
when is it?
@mark – thanks.
Do you know how many places we have ?
@jones
‘when is it?’
