Barbara Roche set to make a comeback?

In Liberal Democrat circles, Barbara Roche is probably best know as the woman who had a 25,998 lead over the Liberal Democrat candidate in her constituency in 1997 (and no Liberal Democrat councillors) but lost her seat to Lynne Featherstone in 2005.

There has been gossip going around for a while that she is seeking to make a comeback “somewhere up north”, and it’s now hit the local newspapers.

It should make for an interesting interview question, “Having squandered a 26,000 lead, do you think you’ll be the right person to hold this seat at the next election?” 🙂

Ah yes but with the useless Ming at our helm I am sure Ms Roache could stand a chance in her old stomping ground. Get rid of Ming or else we will all be got rid of!

I wish her the best of luck – a wonderful and caring constituency MP; MUCH better than Featherstone.

Because the competition would be massive! 🙂

  • Nah. I don’t reckon Roche stands much chance of being elected in Hornsey again. I’m going to stick my neck out and predict that Lynne is re-elected by a majority of around 6875.

Agree about Ming, though. That Clegg could go far, don’t you think?
