  • Yep, she brings to mind a deranged poodle for me

  • Hazel keeps saying that she is “hearing” what the audience says. Perhaps she should start listening…

  • With oil prices at £135 a barrel oil companies wouldn’t already be doing that if it was there to be found would they?

Watching Francis Maude on BBC Question Time last night had me seething as I realised what is going on with the Tories.

While we LibDems publish a raft costed policies and then use opposition day to fight our policy corner and educate parliament, the Tories are abandoning a vast number of people who are suffering NOW due to high oil prices, high food prices and government over-spending.

Maude said that they don’t need policies until the next general election. It is a disgusting approach to government: they say they can be trusted and have answers, and yet will not say what those answers are, leaving millions to suffer when they could instead make an effort to get those policies through government.

Right now, the country needs answers, and they are putting their desperation to win the next election ahead of ending the suffering of millions of people. To sit there gloating as the economy fails, people lose their jobs and get homes repossessed is, frankly, evil. They should be ashamed.
