An e-mail from Iain Dale of Internet Telly (it’s the future) station, 18 Doughty St:
I’m keen to get a list of LibDem bloggers who would be available on Monday evenings, which is where I have a panel of bloggers from all three parties to discuss blog issues and the week ahead. Can you advertise it on LibDem Voice and ask people to email me [email protected]? We’d need people from 8.30pm till 10pm.
Vox Politix is the least rabidly Tory of the programmes I’ve watched so far, and unlike most of 18 Doughty St’s other programming it isn’t mind-numbingly dull, so get yourself on there if you’re in the London / commutable to London area.

Not really a blogger, just a saddo or I would volunteer.
;->
Monday night is choir night for me (no, really!) so it’s out for me too. One must get one’s priorities right.
Just to confirm as an early guinea-pig – it’s all quite painless, and even quite fun. You do actually get the chance to finish your sentences, develop an argument, and engage with the panel. There aren’t (m)any other political TV shows where that happens.
It struck me as I was putting this post up that I’ve never seen you wearing the same clothes twice, Stephen – I think we should keep sending you on 18 Doughty St to test the very limits of your seemingly gargantuan wardrobe 🙂
Yeah, I was surprised Iain didn’t mention the generous clothes allowance Doughty Street pays…
…now y’see that would be different….if they would pay for a new anorak and bobble hat I might give up mere geekdom and go for full blogger status.
I do have a thermios flask and a scientific calculator, will they help me on my journey?
I’m a little outwith commuting distance of London. Don’t see 18 paying expences for a plane commute plus the required carbon offset for me to take part.
Has anyone tried emailing the address given? Mine just bounce back with ‘Relay not permitted’
“which is where I have a panel of bloggers from all three parties to discuss blog issues and the week ahead”
Maybe it’s just me but this sounds slightly less compelling than the average scheduling on the Audi Channel (24 hours a day – Sky channel 884!)
And give Dale even more credibility in his attempt to transform himself from failed candidate to cutting edge pundit? No thanks!
Sorry – wrong email address – please use [email protected]
Wisely or unwisely I’ve put my name forward for tonight.
Iain: Sorry – wrong email address
Now changed.
And congrats to Andy on his performance (and for not letting Kerron Cross get away with the usual Labour spin on Asbos).
