Brent Central selecting on 20th December too!
That Birmingham seat looks v interesting out of all of them.
Its a particularly diverse and increasingly affluent area with a significant student population with major public sector employers feeling the squeeze.
More out of ignorance-fuelled hunches, I think it could be a hot three-way by 2015. I’m not in any way close to the local party whose canvassing may suggest a different prediction.

Significant student population? Public sector employers feeling the squeeze? And you still think the Lib Dems, starting from third place more than 16 points behind Labour, could be in contention? I’d think again if I were you.
Is having a selection on 27th/28th December a good idea?
Paul, it’s called ‘local decision making’.. it’s entirely down to the constituency selection panel and Exec.
SFK.. give us a ‘hot 3-way’ and we will throw the chance away. eg Filton & Bradley Stoke, last time created as the result of boundary changes, ‘3-way marginal’ according to all the pundits. Tories spotted the potential and sent in their forces and won it, let’s hope our Campaigns Dept have learnt some lessons…
