KB Linker – our keyword list

We are currently using a WordPress plug-in called KB Linker to automatically translate certain key words and phrases into hyperlinks in our posts.  So if I type Nick Clegg here in this post, the program should automatically convert that into a link for www.nickclegg.com

Doing this saves us time writing posts, offers a valuable service to our readers, and also helps a little on the search-engine optimization front.  The more links a site gets, the better it does in search enging rankings, particularly from heavily trafficked sites like LDV.

Our keyword list currently includes the websites of all Lib Dem MPs, AMs, GLAMs and all the peers we know on the net.  We also have SAO links for groups like DELGA and Women Lib Dems, as well as turning phrases like a tragic flaw into links to the online bookshop Amazon that should generate cash for the party.

I am now making our keyword list available to users of our Forum – for two reasons.  Firstly, I hope our users can help add to the keyword list with suggestions of their own.  And secondly, the list may well prove useful to any Lib Dem using a WordPress blog.

If you’re a party member and registered with our forum, you’ll find the list here.
