PPC news: Kate Clarkson selected for Penrith and the Border

The Cumbria News & Star reports that Kate Clarkson has been selected to stand for Penrith and the Border – congratulations to Kate.

    You know, I think people like “It’s a two-horse race” fill a really useful social function: they make people remember why they hate the Tories.

    I think you’ll find having a voting preference doesn’t necessarily indicate that a person “hates” the other parties.

    Oh, and by the way – according to the latest ICM poll on their website, it’s “only” 19% ;O)

    Two-horse needs to brush up his history. In 1983, the then Liberal Party came within 500 votes of winning Penrith & The Border in a parliamentary byelection.
