The strange case of the silence of Conservatives over the anti-gay views of their new Communities Spokesperson, Sayeeda Warsi, may be drawing to a close. There is at last a small whiff of criticism, reported at the end of a different story in The Times today, but even so there is a rather eerie silence out there. Have anti-gay comments become acceptable in the new-look Conservative Party, or will others start speaking out?

So Sayeeda’s actively in favour of bullying, prejudice and discrimination – those are all good Conservative community cohesion values surely!?
Perhaps Mark you should stop ignoring the posts that show you’re talking nonsense. After all, I know you read my site, I see you in the logs. I also know you read Iain’s and he linked directly to my post. As did Sunny on Pickled Politics. Perhaps, if you took your hands off your ears you’d be able to hear?
Dizzy, I missed that post on your blog. I think it’s fair to say that overall reaction was pretty muted, but happy to stand corrected about your blog- and I will become a more assidious reader of yours in future 🙂
Also, Pickled Politics isn’t a Tory blog so can hardly be lumped under the term ‘others’…
My point of mentioning Pickled Politics was that Sunny linked to my blog on it. Not that it was a Tory blog.
Well she will be appearing on BBC’S “Question Time” tonight anyway.
And compared to that NeoCon she looked positively sane!
The neocon bloke was intensely reluctant to give a straight answer on the causes of climate change.
Which sat rather oddly with his directness in other matters.
