The final Liberal Democrat party election broadcast – all 3 versions: It’s decision time between self-interest and grievance or Lib Dem fairness, tolerance and decency

Here’s the party’s final party election broadcast, It’s decision time now for all the people we’ve met in the series. The film argues that Liberal Democrats have brought compassion and fairness, built on consensus and co-operation, to Britain.

Your vote will be the difference between a government of self-interest and grievance or a coalition of tolerance and decency.

Here’s the Scottish version and listen to who is voicing it. There’s more emphasis on what we stopped the Tories doing.

And the Welsh version

A liberal party not interested in the aggrieved? Let’s put that to the electorate.

  • Vote dem, get Tory, which is the truth. Of course this post will be censored, because you’re a liberal party that doesn’t believe in free speech.

    Anything positive to say Paul?

Yes – I want to help the disenfranchised and the needy – so do most Liberal Democrats

  • The final ICM poll predicts 23 seats for the LibDems – I think that’s about the maximum. I will be surprised if they get anymore and expect it to be 4 or 5 less, all my bets are now on.

  • @malc at what odds?

Recently I’ve had a big bet on the LibDems to get 11-20 seats at 4/1 and a smaller bet to cover my stake at 5/2 for the LibDems to get 21 -30 seats. Also had a bet at 5/1 that Labour will be the largest party. I’ve also had many single bets on individual seats, safe to say that most of these involve LibDems losing their seats.

  • Earlier I said the final ICM poll predicted 23 LibDem seats, that was wrong I should have said 27. It’s the final YouGov poll that predicted 23 LibDem seats.

I couldn’t agree more, I come from a family of bookmakers and rarely bet any other way. It’s not wishful thinking, I’ve been researching over several months and placed over 30 bets on the GE – mostly on individual constituencies – and the only one I consider a punt is backing Labour to have the most seats. I found the 5/1 very tempting for what I consider a 50/50 bet.

I am a thoroughly proud Lib Dem. We are blessed to have a Leader like Nick Clegg – a truly honourable and remarkable man. Thank You Nick.
