As always on the Sunday closest to November 11th, the anniversary of the Armistice in the First World War, the country stops to remember those who have been killed in conflict.
Here are how senior Liberal Democrats are marking the occasion.
Today we stop, honour and remember all those who fought and died for our freedoms. #RemembranceSunday

We were in France on Sunday 8th and there was no marking of the day. They save themselves for the real day, November 11th, which is a public holiday. So our family will have a day off. We came home today, Monday 9th, and miss out twice over. I grieve often for a young man who lived next door to us in Edinburgh and who died in Afghanistan. It was very touching to meet his mother recently and a privilege to contribute to a memorial fund in her son’s name.
