If a civil servant was to compose a document which involved no governmentese, no excessive wording, but just got to the bloody point, what would happen? Would they be sacked?
No, sorry, of course they can’t be sacked. Perhaps they’d be punished some other way. Moved to the Treasury, perhaps.
