ALDC Campaigner Awards: Winners announced

ALDC Master Logo (for screen)The winners of the ALDC Campaigner Awards 2015 were presented at the ALDC AGM at Conference by Simon Hughes, celebrating the best campaigning teams from across the Country.

From excellent Focus leaflets to superb online campaigns, the awards giving our excellent local campaigning parties the recognition they deserve.

This year’s awards were handed out to

  • Best Member engagement campaign Winner- Mid Dorset and North Poole
  • Best Literature Winner – Portsmouth
  • Best Community Campaign Winner- Tunbridge Wells
  • Best By-Election campaign Winner- Wrexham and Clwyd South
  • Best Digital Campaign Winner – Manchester Withington
  • Best Ward Campaign Winner-  Milnrow and Newhey in Rochdale
  • Overall Campaigner Awards WinnerBedford

The team at ALDC were particularly impressed by the strong and successful campaign that Bedford fought over different platforms with 5 elections on the same day: Parliamentary, Mayoral, Council, Parish and a Council Tax referendum from their PCC, which succeeded in re-electing Mayor Dave Hodgson and many Lib Dem councillors.

ALDC will be making copies of the wining literature available as well as sharing top campaigning tips from the winners in a series of articles in the members only area of the ALDC website over the next few weeks.
