The Voice extends its congratulations to our own Welsh correspondent, and master blogger Peter Black AM, who topped Iain Dale’s poll of the 40 best Welsh blogs.

A blog composed entirely of whats in the Western Mail? Welsh blogs must be s&&&e then,,,
@I’ve been to Oxford y’know: Oh, burn! (as the kids say extremely sarcastically these days). You know Peter is top of that chart because even if he’s not the world’s greatest wit, he writes prolifically and always on target to keep people in Wales better informed about what happens at and around the Senedd, which yes, includes highlighting news stories and giving them an Assembly Members comment, quite often. This is s&&&e how? I believe he makes a real difference to how connected people feel with Welsh politics. And I also believe he absolutely deserves the number one spot.
Now as to whether I deserve the number sixteen spot after just a few months of inconsistent riffing on whatever I felt noteworthy, inside or outside Wales… that’s a matter for debate.
Just checked it, it is a great blog.
Mr I’ve been to Oxford y’know
Shame they didn’t teach you punctuation then!
The comments on Iain Dale’s site are instructive in revealing, yet again, the ignorance towards Wales of so many self-regarding folk!
[Must get round to writing that book on the Welsh from an English perspective – Closest/ Nearest Strangers is the working title]
