I’m not very sure that letting our opponents pick our leader is the way to go about sharpening our message.
Tavish has fought an energetic campaign, and focused throughout on making Liberal values relevant to people beyond the party. Possibly not people actually in the SNP and the Tories, but hopefully some people who might otherwise vote for them.
