General election: what have we learnt so far?

a) Gordon Brown wants to be seen as a team player (hence massed ranks of Cabinet behind him for election announcement)

b) David Cameron wants to be seen as Barack Obama (hence shirt, rolled up sleeves and people behind him when he speaks!)

c) Nick Clegg wants to be seen with Vince Cable (hence Vince becomes the first non-leader to ever have his picture emblazoned on a party leader’s battlebus)

Me not sure how I shall vote but I have to seek a way to remove Brown. If this means that I have to stop giving my vote to the LibDems in Lewes and Norman Baker, who seems to be becoming much less transparent recently following his own transgressions, the only way will be for me to vote Conservative this time.

Folk in Lewes are not daft and the penny has now dropped that Norman Baker may not be part of the future for Lewes, Seaford and Newhaven. He might seem to have been an effective local MP for a decade but I cannot detect any real improvements which he could put his name to. That is what happens when a Constituency is represented at Westminster by an MP who is permanently in Opposition (and one who is loathed by not only his own Party but all others too!)

    I rest my case !

  • Perhaps you should contact the Chairman of Lewes Conservatives to plot your anti-Baker campaign. He is also called Richard Shaw, so I am sure you two would get along well.

David Cameron, if you cannot even count on your constituency chair in Lewes as a firm supporter, what chance have you?

  • Me not sure how I shall vote

He can’t speak English correctly either – I wonder what Middle England will make of that?

  • Then why does it say he is on their website?

Should also check out this Richard Shaw on TWFY:

Seems to think Norman Baker asking questions in Commons is wasting taxpayers money. (No wonder the Tories are so confident about magical efficiency savings to stop the NI rise!)
