Not a very good way to kick off an election campaign by announcing your candidates in private.
I assume at some point London Region will wish to publicise their shortlist, or have they become so secretive that we have to await the black smoke flying from the Cowley Street chimmney?

Oh well…..
Liam – it’s working here. Are you logged in?
Dan – they’re not candidates… they’re candidates to become candidates. And the election campaign hasn’t been kicked off! Selection procedures are generally conducted under a certain degree of privacy.

I think a list of candidates to be candidates is more “not published” than private.
I find it hard to believe that the names won’t leak out given they will be sent to x,000 London members over coming days. I can’t really see what could be done if someone then publicised them. What – the candidates are going to claim legitimate expectation of privacy? 🙂
