Linda Jack needs at 12% swing to beat Nadine Dorries in Mid-Bedfordshire. That’s a tough target – but by no means impossible (see seats such as Hornsey & Wood Green last time), especially given the party’s poll boost in recent days. To turn the possibility into reality Linda’s campaign needs more funds to help run an even more intensive grassroots effort in the second half of the campaign:

I’ll point out Dorries supported the provision in the first place. That’s reason enough for me… go Jack!
No half sensible country would ever let someone like Nad within a million miles of political power. She’s got to be a good target and well worth going for. Go Linda!
I was born in Liverpool moved to Dorset recently. I have followed Nadine Dorries since 2006 and cannot believe that she was elected as an MP because her blog page seems to be mainly about her daughters and her social life.
I wish I could say as a Liverpool lass that I could feel proud of Dorries. I am embarrassed. Family values she waffles on about the importance of marriage and family and yet seems obsessed with her image, by never being out of the Newspapers\TV etc and not working for the people of Mid Beds. I was a conservative but this time NO WAY would I vote for Nadine Dorries. Between where she was born which was NOT on a council estate and her somewhere “other home” I think this MP is quite confused most of the time.
I want an MP who isn’t promoting what she wears and what her daughters do and dogs ! I want an MP who works for the people and I hope you are now out there talking to the people and getting your policies across.
Anyone voting for Dorries is not voting for an MP rather a woman who lives in a fantasy world I shudder looking back at her blog articles. Such silly nonsense . The people of Mid Beds needs to look back and consider what she has done since she was elected. Linda Jack gets my vote.
I am impressed by what I have seen about Linda Jack as the LibDem candidate for Mid Beds but the only way I have been able to find out who the LibDem candidate is, is through the internet. The other main parties have all advertised their candidates by pushing leaflets through my door – why not LibDems? I think it’s vital to make use of this old fashioned method of advertising to ensure you inform all those without access or ability to use the internet if you are to stand any chance of unseating Nadine Dorres.
If you get a chance before the election, ask her to provide you with documentary proof she is married and documentary proof she is divorced.
I know two journalists that cant find proof of either event taking place.
Sorry I was talking about Nadine Dorries NOT Linda Jack.
Keep up the good work Linda.
