LDV doesn’t do statporn, but if we did (June ’10)

… We’d say a big thank you to the 49,916 ‘absolute unique visitors’* who read Liberal Democrat Voice in June.

Though that’s way down on our May 2010 figure of c.136,000, that was an exceptional month – with a general election plus the formation of the new coalition government. In fact, compared with June 2009, Lib Dem Voice’s readership is up by one-third.

This brings our absolute unique visitor readership for the last year to date (1 July 2009 – 30 June 2010) to 582,154, over 80% higher than the equivalent figure for 2008-09 of 322,654.

The 5 top-read stories during the month were:

1. The easy, progressive way to cut £44 billion without harming worthwhile public services or the least well off (78) by Mark Pack
2. The Budget: so, what did you make of it? (218) by The Voice
3. Vince Cable: Why the VAT rise had to happen (139) by Vince Cable MP
4. So, what does a Special Adviser do? (18) by Duncan Brack
5. David Laws: should I stay as an MP? (75) by Mark Pack

And the top 5 traffic sources for Lib Dem Voice in June were:

  • Google
  • Twitter
  • Guido Fawkes
  • Lib Dem Blogs aggregator
  • PoliticsHome

Whether you’re a regular here, or an occasional ‘popper-by’, we’re delighted you looked in.

* Google Analytics’ term: it broadly means people using almost 50,000 different computers visited LDV at least once. Some people may be counted more than once (eg, home and work computer), whilst some people may not be counted (eg, two different people use the same computer, or someone reads the site through a feed reader without ever actually visiting it).
