Last month Geoff Hoon was one of a clutch of Labour MPs caught on film by Channel 4’s Dispatches selling their services. It would appear from this photo that he’s now taking this very literally …
PS: what does this say about Labour’s confidence in their chances of holding onto Geoff Hoon’s seat of Ashfield? The Lib Dems’ Jason Zadrozny is mounting a strong challenge – you can visit his site, and find out how you can help Jason’s campaign here.

Fantastic 🙂
And it does make you wonder about Labour’s confidence in the seat…
………………….. £5,000?………………….
With its red and yellow sign, Hoon HQ looks uncannily like a sub-post office at first glance; could it possibly have been just that before being closed by Labour?
Sign’s badly spelt as well, shouldn’t that be Geoff Hoon MP? The period is redundant…
Anyway, nitpicking aside, I’m not surprised they’re selling that place. It looks nearly as dingy as the Plaid office in Aberystwyth!
We say ‘full stop’ over here Huw, not ‘period’. I assume you’re American?
No, British. But I prefer period as a term.
Labour selling off assets at a low point in the market? Surely not!
It should be either M.P. or MP. That full-stop after MP is for the sentence, by the way.
Huw Dawson, I don’t think the ladies prefer ‘period’ as a term they see it as a sentence!
Umm, was the photo taken on the 13th, when the article was posted?
I ask, because was Parliament not dissolved on the 12th, at which point Hoon, and his colleagues, all ceased to be MPs, and thus the right to describe themselves suchly?
