A tale of two marches. Plus: LibDems reveal most polluting areas in Britain

The Liberal Democrats have published new research showing which areas of Britain emit the most carbon dioxide. The data has been released to coincide with the Stop Climate Chaos march and rally in Central London tomorrow.

You can see more here.

Do come along to the march if you can – there seem to be two choices. You can either:

Either way, both marches end up in Trafalgar Square – I’m not sure why Norman is on one march and LDYS on another – and at this time I don’t know on which march either Simon Hughes or Chris Huhne will be, but I’m trying to find out!

Despite the absense of LDYS banners etc, I’m going to join the Grosvenor Square rally and march from there – hopefully meeting up with the LDYS gang in Trafalgar Square. Do look out for my Lib Dem Voice Podcast recording gear and be prepared to give me a pithy 20 second intervention on what you hope to achieve by turning up.

  • Possibly something to do with the fact that’s where the rest of the students are gathering……..

Congrats to LDYS for organising such a large student contingent 🙂

I was on the march that started from Grosvenor Square, and that had a very significant Green Party / Socialist Workers / Respect Party contingent, with no Lib Dem presence that I could see – had I not cottoned on so late to the fact that there were two marches, I would’ve tried to have used Lib Dem Voice to marshall older members to the other march.

Oh well! I live and learn 🙁
