Liberal Democrats from across the UK have been marking Remembrance Sunday.
Remembering today those like my uncle Maurice who died aged 19 fighting evil so we can raise our families in freedom & peace. Never forget.

We must never forget those who laid down their lives for our freedoms. It was a honour to lay wreaths at Cupar and St. Andrews. pic.twitter.com/4szr1p5b6B

Today is always a day of reflection and sadness that leaves me teary-eyed. So many young men and women have lost their lives or suffered life- changing injuries when they have answered the call to duty, including people very dear to me.
I wear my poppy with pride, not to glorify war, but to give due respect to those who have shown, and continue to show, such bravery and sacrifice.
This past article from Lib Dem Voice seems rather timely today: https://www.libdemvoice.org/vince-cable-writes-remembering-alan-turing-43334.html
Thinking about Dad, 175 Squadron RAF, who died far too young, and Uncle Herbert, Durham Light Infantry, severely wounded, Somme, September 1916, in
hospital care until 1970. Much loved, much missed.RIP. Blessed are the peacemakers.
