Iain Dale’s shadowy parliamentary sources have told him that the Met Police Commissioner Sir Iain Blair is about to jump or be pushed. (2.11pm)
The BBC said as much, too. (1.58pm)
Still, only 13 minutes for the news to rush from Aunty Beeb to Uncle Iain via the smoking hot blackberries of idle parliamentary hands ain’t bad.
Specially when it took me a whole hour to notice.

Bet he denies all culpability for everything!
His statement at the start of the Menezes inquest sounds humble enough, even contrite, but at the very least somebody lied to him on 22/07 to cover up a crime.
The “Health and Safety” prosecution was a
sick joke. Surely, a prosecution for
unlawful killiing/culpable homicide would have had a chance of success. And will we get to hear any more about the allegation that the “shooters” were allowed to make a collective statement, whereas the tube passengers, who must have been utterly traumatised by what they witnessed, were under strict instructions not to discuss the incident amongst themselves when considering their statements.
I wouldn’t sweat it. It took the Guardian until half past four:

Blair didn’t actually go til 20 past 4, though….so that’s not bad – at least they were watching on telly.
I suppose the debate over his commissionership should now move over to Dee Docey’s statement>>
