It’s that time of year again. Today the Spring Conference agenda has been published.
So, if you are sensible, you can start planning your way through the weekend, working out when you want to be in the hall, which fringe meetings (hint: LDV’s homelessness and Universal Credit on Saturday at 1pm in the Walmgate Room at the Hilton) to attend, when you’re going to fit in the exhibition, which training sessions you need to go to. You can work out when you are going to catch up with your friends.
If you’re like most people, you’ll start off with good intentions and then end up doing most of it on the train to Conference.
But there are advantages to doing it early. Looking at the policy motions now means that you have nearly a month – until 4th March at 1pm – to come up with a suitable amendment.
York is a brilliant conference venue and again the City is treating us with a drinks reception just before the rally. What could possibly go wrong?
Those who don’t like the rally are spoilt for choice for pubs. The Masons Arms down the road from Barbican is a particular favourite and they do amazing food – especially the Sunday lunches.
With debates on the most up to date Brexit situation, just two weeks from the supposed Brexit day, access to justice, Vince’s party reforms, race equality, town centres, pollution and ending unpaid internships, with keynote speeches from Vince and Christine, with endless fun on the fringe, what more could you want.
And if all that doesn’t tempt you to read it, if you don’t know already, Your Liberal Britain’s new name is in there…

Priceless. Universal Credit and Homelessness at the Hilton. A little out of touch perhaps?
Fair point by Martin Land.
Acres of print about the party’s internal preoccupations……………… but not a peep on poverty which has been swept under the carpet……… a real shame given Katharine Pindar submitted an excellent motion.
