The Simon Hughes Memorial Prize for Multiple Simultaneous Fringe Booking goes to … Paul Burstow, Vince Cable, Lynne Featherstone and Sarah Teather (fx: applause). They each cram in three simultaneous meetings in one slot. Watch out for multiple Usain Bolt impressions they dash between their different slots.
Note: I have included MPs marked as “tbc” and “invited” but excluded those who are not listed even if I know otherwise (as my extra information is only partial). MPs listed in advertisements in the fringe booklet but not in the fringe listing itself have also been included.

And in doing so probably don’t do any of them justice.
Thanks for giving me the image of Vince in sprint trunks by the way. In fact, no, there’s no way I’m dealing with that on my own:

You can usually tell from this who wants to be the next leader of the party.
However I do not expect Vince Cable to be in the running for that.
Surprised not to see some of the presumed rising stars of the party putting themselves about more – Tessa, Ian and Julian I’m look at you!
Just looking at the fringe programme – competition for the Glee Club! Do you choose “Losing Deposits” over “Teenage Kicks”?

Well, yes, in the case of Simon Hughes, he is notorious for double-booking. But in many cases, unscrupulous fringe meeting organisers list star names without confirming that the guest speakers they have invited are able or willing to accept the invitation. They do this to make their fringe meetings look ‘sexier’ in the listings. And it’s a cheaper ploy than offering free booze and food.
Delegates would be well advised to take a lot of these fringe meeting listings with a pinch of salt.
Good to see Penzance MP Andrew George get a reasonable showing in the table.
