Following on from the switch of Keith and Diane Bennett from the Conservatives to the Liberal Democrats, a third Conservative councillor in Cannock Chase has now also joined the party:
Councillor Mark Green has resigned from the Council’s Conservative Group and has been accepted as a Member of the Council’s Liberal Democrat Group. Mark represents the the Cannock South Ward.

I can understand how Neil Stanley must feel! The Tories are now attempting to blame all the current problems on the Lib/Dems, so lets face it.-The Tories have lost all credibility, sense of direction and political conviction. They are that busy arguing amongst themselves that they now appear to have upset some long standing conservative stalwarts, who are now prepared to change their political colour and defect to bthe Lib/Dems, demonstrating their opposition to the sham of a pary they now are.
