Top of the Blogs: The Golden Dozen #40

Welcome to the 40th of our weekly round-ups from the Lib Dem blogosphere, featuring the seven most popular stories according to click-throughs from the Aggregator (18th – 25th November), together with a hand-picked quintet you might otherwise have missed.

And the question you’re all asking is, I imagine… which leadership posting has made it to the top of this week’s list? So, here we go:

1. Nick Clegg up close on Paul Walter’s Liberal Burblings blog.
Impressed by Nick (but not enough to sway his vote away from Chris).

2. Lib Dem leadership update on Steve Webb’s The Webb Log blog.
The take of the MP-who-might-have-stood on the Politics Show performances of the MPs-who-did.

3. A new banner for Team Huhne on Nich Starling’s Norfolk Blogger blog.
I think it’s safe to say the Nich was unimpressed with Chris on that programme.

4. The Times asks: Is Nick Clegg that good? on Paul Walter’s Liberal Burblings blog.
A link to Daniel Finkelstein’s full-throated – and pretty feeble – attack on Nick Clegg. (Danny’s a good political commentator with a blind-spot when it comes to the Lib Dems. All Lib Dems.)

5. Clegg or Huhne? Quaequam Blog! comes off the fence on James Graham’s Quaequam Blog! blog.
James finally discards the last of his veils for The Guardian’s Comment Is Free blog.

6. That Huhne dossier in full on Jonathan Calder’s Liberal England blog.
“I would like to be a little clearer about what Nick is inviting me to sign up to before I decide which way to cast my vote.”

7. Can Clegg raise his game?
on Iain Sharpe’s Eaten By Missionaries blog.
And now Iain has given his answer.

And here’s another five well worth reading, as hand-picked by Mark Pack who has kindly read for me every single article published on all Lib Dem blogs in the past week:

8. The yeast experiment on Rob’s A Comfortable Place blog.
Erm, genuinely lost for words on this one.

9. Oxbridge Twittery and Freedom of Speech on James Graham’s Quaequam Blog! blog.
Just because the BNP and David Irving have the right to speak doesn’t mean you should lend them a megaphone, argues James.

10. Verity Lambert and Doctor Who: Legendary on Alex Wilcock’s Love and Liberty blog.
An affectionate tribute from the Lib Dem blogosphere’s Who fanboy-in-chief.

11. Back with a vengeance
on Andy Strange’s Process Guy blog.
Don’t get angry, get blogging.

12. World Toilet Day on Jonathan Calder’s Liberal England.
As if we needed reminding, eh?

And that’s it for another week (or so). Ahem. Happy blogging.

* Stephen Tall is late again.

  • I’m genuinely chuffed to have made it into the golden dozen with the yeast experiment, but can I point out that it’s me, not Craig Murray, testing the boundaries of scientific achievement.

Guess I’d better fill out my profile a bit.
