Video: Weird political ad #547 – Politicians get down and dirty with pigs

There are plenty of contenders for the strangest political ad of all times. Carly Fiorina’s “Demon Sheep” ad is widely considered to be high on the list.

This one is weird, but, yet, strangely artful. It features “politicians” getting down on their hands and knees with pigs, slinging mud at each other and, even, apparently, eating mud (or is it whatever the pigs are eating?).

It comes from Ted Yoho (who, based on this ad, is presumably known to his friends as “Ted Yo-ho-ho-ho-ho”). He is running for the US Congress in Florida. He says he’s a veterinarian, which presumably implies he knows all about the porcine community. He also says that, if elected, “after eight years in Washington, I’ll come home”. – That seems a bit weird, in itself, given that US Representatives have office terms of only two years. Presumably, if elected, he’ll spend the last six years of that eight years wondering why no one will let him into the Washington Congress chamber.

With thanks to Political Wire.

“Politicians get down and dirty with pigs”

This is another one of those topics about elected Police Kommissars? 🙂
