Your last chance to question Federal Committees

It’s your last chance to submit questions to Federal Committees!

This is an important part of scrutinising those we party members entrust to run the party.

The deadline is 1300 hours tomorrow, Monday 9 September – which is the same as the deadline for amendments and emergency motions.

So if you have a question on, say, the direction the party is taking, ask the Federal Board, what we are doing on diversity, menbers and training, ask the Federal People Development Committee, how Conference is run, ask Federal Conference Committee, how the party is approaching future elections, ask Federal Communications Committee.

Our Chief Whips in the Commons and Lords also report to Conference so if you want more information about how they are operating in the new Parliament, ask away.

The Federal Policy Committee is doing a policy review – are you interested in hwo they will appraoch that? If so, get your question in.

And don’t forget the Campaign for Gender Balance Federal Council, Federal Appeals Panel and the Federal International Relations Committee.

Submitting a question is easy and you don’t have to be going to Conference to do it, though if you are there you will have the chance to ask a supplementary if your question is picked.

So don’t miss your chance to have your say by 1300 hours tomorrow.

The timetable for the Leader’s Q and A is slightly different so you have a bit longer.

Any voting member may submit a concise question (maximum 25 words) on any subject for the Leader’s Q&A. Questions will be selected by the chair and the questioner will be able to ask their question via the interventions microphone. Questions may be submitted by 17.00 Saturday 14 September using this form. Questions may also be submitted on a form collected from and returned to the Speakers’ Table in the auditorium by 12.50 Sunday 15 September
