Don’t forget, if you’re a party member you can register for the Lib Dem Voice private members’ forum. You’ll be in good company: there are 1,004 registered members, all of whom have the opportunity to read and post on a rich variety of topics which don’t always make it into the public blog, as well as having the chance to vote in LDV’s monthly (ish, ahem) tracking surveys. Here’s a selection of the currently active threads to whet your appetites:
# Norwich North result
# Fingerprinting children in schools
# [ Poll ] Tuition Fees
# Saving Pubs – should we bother?
# Why more equal societies are nearly always better
# Confusion over spending priorities
# Do we need more prisons?

You also get the chance to have one of the Moderators take a remark out of your posting and then use it out of context to create a new thread… And of course not apologise to you if you are offended. Which is why I left more than a year ago.
@Martin If I had a vote for every time that happened to me in forums…
Yes, Julia, when our local Tory Trolls do it in our local forum, I can live with it. I don’t expect it from colleagues.
Martin – I think I’m right in saying that no threads have been split since the incident that annoyed you. I can see how the Moderator did it with no ill intent, but in light of your understandable frustration it’s not something that’s ever been attempted since (as far as I can recall), given the danger of misconstruing people’s comments. So, lessons were learnt and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised if you try again.
