Charles Kennedy’s Desert Island disc #2

As a mark of respect, today we’re devoting the site to playing Charles Kennedy’s Desert Island Discs in hourly portions.

Disc number two is Charles’ musical hero, David Bowie, with Young Americans. Charles particularly liked the drum a the start of this: “The best drum introduction you could wish for”. After it played, he said “It doesn’t get any better than that. I love that.”

    I always associate ‘Young Americans’ with its use on the end credits of ‘Dogville’. And now with Charles Kennedy!

    We pay also from Belgium our respect to Charles Kennedy. A fine social man who died much too young.
