Lib Dem Voice readers are familiar with our weekly BBC1 Question Time open threads – your chance to sound off about the programme while it’s on-air, or to indulge in some post-match analysis of the panellists’ performances, all from the comfort of your sofa.
Well, tonight, we’re ringing the changes – not too much you’ll be pleased/disappointed to hear. But we’re going to be trialling a Facebook Live Stream. If, like me until a few hours ago, you’ve absolutely no idea what that is, this article may explain:
With the Live Stream Box on your website, users log in using Facebook Connect and share updates that appear both within the Live Stream Box and on their Facebook profiles and in their friends’ home page Streams. Each post includes a link back to the Live Stream Box on your site so users can discover the live event and immediately join based on their friends’ recommendations. The Live Stream Box includes a tab to see updates from everyone who is posting on the event from across the Web as well as a filter for a user to view just their friends’ updates. Please note that the information may move fast, so users will not necessarily see everything that comes through and cannot page through all the history.
Will it work? Tune in to LDV from 10.30 pm tonight and find out…

Julia Goldsworthy did well on the rights of women to choose whether to wear the burka and asked do we want a fashion police state? Liberty is the dominant principle in the argument.
I also support Julia`s views as a L/D Royalist and believe that the invisible earnings to the UK British Economy are worth it and they create jobs as well.
I am due in Cornwall in August with wife for a brief look at the Cornish coast.
I do know also that there are large swathes of poverty in Cornwall and many people consider it to be well off but in fact many families have suffered the brunt of this Recession.
