I’ve just downloaded the newly updated Conference App to my phone and spent half an hour making up my schedule for the Conference.
You can get it from your App store of choice now.
It’s brilliant because it has the Agenda and Directory in full so you can look up the text of motions. It will have the Conference Extra and Conference Daily when they are published. It also has maps of the venue. and exhibition.
I find it particularly useful that it will save the events I select into the main diary on my phone where I’ve been piling up meetings for some time now.
It really is Conference in your pocket so download it now.
You might also like to read my guide to the craziness of Conference which I’ve updated for Brighton.
Just as an aside, I had a look at the weather forecast for Brighton and the temperature plummets 8 degrees for our arrival. Honestly, a few people from Scotland and we’re back to Autumn. We’ll be inside most of the time anyway, though, so it doesn’t really matter…
Only two more sleeps (or, rather one and a half for me as I have to get up in the middle of the flippin’ night to fly down) to go!

I can’t find it in ApStore how is it listed?
Hi Fran
It’s Lib Dem Conf. When I downloaded it yesterday it was still showing the Spring 2016 version but as someone kindly informed me it does upload for this conference.
It won’t open for me.
This conference app is advertised in the conference directory as being available “in early September”. The email announcing its availability arrived in my inbox at 2:30 pm yesterday, Thursday 15th. Why is it so late? And I note that it does not contain the text of Motion F27 on Europe.
The only app I can see on Apple Store is for the spring York conference. I downloaded it and checked it – only York conference is listed. Deleted it.
What are the bets that it will not be fully functioning tomorrow when the conference start?
App is still showing as March 2016 but ignore this and down load, then is coming up as Autumn 2016. It’s great and easy to use.
I successfully downloaded the app on my original Tesco Hudl tablet (Android 4.4, I think), overwriting the earlier version.
Not so straightforward on my Moto G phone (updated to Android 5.1). At first it crashed and this persisted even when I removed the Spring 2016 version and the very first version of the app. It does work now, but I don’t really know why.
The app has generally improved version by version, but I’m still quite addicted to paper.
