The Data Driven Journalism blog has analysis of how often the Leave and Remain campaigns have been mentioned on Twitter.
One of the findings, is that link to register to vote was shared over 140,000 times on Twitter after 15 May, with a big spike around the registration deadline.
As far as I know, only the registration website managers could know how many people clicked on that link from Twitter and registered. But if someone delivered 140,000 pieces of papers with a registration form on we would say “well done” – so, well done Twitter.

Today, my nephew received a posted leaflet from the Leave Campaign.
It is headed “Official information about the referendum on 23rd June 2016”
The European Union and your family:THE FACTS
What then follows is a repeat of every discredited Leave campaign statement.
The famous £350 million per week.
Turkey and four others in queue to join EU
The EU has taken control of our borders
EU law overrules UK law.
Fortunately he is an educated ,with it sort of guy and he treated it as a joke and confirmed he had a postal vote which had already been sent for Remain
I think I have seen the same leaflet at my house Bob. Really poor. Hope it does not succeed.
I awarded this leaflet the prize for the most dishonest political leaflet I have ever seen. Two other leaflets from the leave campaign have polluted my recycling bin; they won second and third prizes.
I believe that this is the leaflet which has resulted in the leave campaign being sued by one of the four major companies whose logos were featured on the back page without their permission.
Nick, yes that is the leaflet. Nissan are reported to be suing them. It was extraordinary to use their name – Nissan are well known Remain supporters – and even more extraordinary to use their logo. Everyone knows company trademarks are protected.
Cynically, of course, the authors of the leaflet are well aware that any legal redress which Nissan achieves will be far too late to affect the outcome of the referendum. But i know, and you know, that if the referendum results in us leaving the EU it will be on the basis of a pack of lies. The liars will have “taken control”.
They may be able to able for injunction to prevent any further leaflets being delivered. Freeposts usually go to Royal Mail in batches.
I have heard of by-elections where such injunctions have meant leaflets printed have had to be pulped.

Very late in the day for that to make any difference. An injunction should have been sought, with some urgency, as soon as someone knew that the leaflet was factually incorrect and had used logo’s without permission. If that also meant getting a judge out-of-bed then so be it.
Nissan are thought of as a Japanese company and are the second largest car manufacturer in the UK. But, because of financial problems some years ago they are actually controlled by Renault. Clearly their English plants making cars for the general European market would be disrupted in the event of Brexit. So, to anyone in the know, the idea that they would favour Brexit is fantastic.
