… We’d say a big thank you to the 37,801 ‘absolute unique visitors’* who read Liberal Democrat Voice in June, our third highest total ever. That’s a slight dip compared with last month’s 41k+ figure, but is a whopping 125% increase on a year ago.
This brings our absolute unique visitor readership for the last year to date (1 July 2008 – 30 June 2009) to 286,739, an increase of 110% on the equivalent figure for 2007-08 of 136,301.

How on earth did a story about a by-election in 2006 become the top-read story for this month?

@DT if you Google The Roman Party that story is one of the top matches. They were one of the fringe parties in last months Euros with pretty much no info about them online anywhere.
I’ve been trying to convince Jean-Louis Pascal to set up a blog, but he’s not overly concerned about communicating with the public.
Standing in elections is his hobby which he indulges when he’s not driving busses and he says he spent £7,000 on his euro campaign (which he partly funded through a £5,000 loan). I should also mention that Jean-Louis told me his boss, who happens to be the the deputy leader of the ruling Labour group in Reading, gave him the inspiration to take up politics as a hobby and regularly gives him advice on tactics (such as where to stand).
