Liberal Democrat Spring Conference Agenda – online now

News from Andrew Wiseman, chair of the Lib Dem Federal Conference Committee:

The Conference Agenda has been finalised and is now available online, together with accompanying policy papers and consultation papers. For those members who registered for conference before 30 January, hard copies will be arriving through the post very soon.

We have planned an interesting agenda with a variety of debates including one on the NHS and another looking at the strategy of the Party. Representatives will also have the opportunity to participate in two Q&A sessions, one with the Party Leader and the other with members of the BIS team.

Every motion in the agenda is open to amendment, and the deadline for amendments, and also for emergency motions and questions to reports, is 13.00 Tuesday 8 March. A standard form for emergency motions and amendments is available to download online. If you would like help drafting your amendment, the Policy and Research Unit staff are happy to provide comments and advice (on drafting only, not on political content). Send draft amendments to [email protected] by 13.00 Tuesday 22 February for advice.

And it’s not too late to register. If you’ve not booked your place already, online registration is available until 23 February or you can register on-site in Sheffield, where day visitor passes are also available. Visit the conference website for more information.

I hope to see you in Sheffield.

Andrew Wiseman
Chair, Federal Conference Committee
