I have watched the Lib-Dem conference with a certain amount of incredulity and sadness this week – I am glad that they are all happy, but I’ve no idea what they’re happy about!
As a former speech writer to a former leader of the party – i’ve considered what i would be saying to the conference if i was Nick Clegg – this is it:
