Camerons decision to make C& N a referendum on the 10p rate gives us a huge opportunity.Vince Cable has set the tone by accusing Cameron of shedding “crocodile tears” because he has no answer to the question of what he would do.
We on the other hand have clear tax proposals-abolishing council tax and cutting basic rate by 4p.This would help low and middle income tax payers in particular
So we have the opportunity to atatck both labour and the conservatives and present our own plans.
I would suggest starting a petition in C &N on scrapping council tax. There is also the opportunity to mail each household demonstrating for each income level how much they would save from no council tax, local invome tax and cutting income tax by 4p.So a great opprtunity to attack the tories who so far in Vince’s words have only offered tax cuts to millionaires ,and switch defecting Labour voters to us.

On the other forthcoming by election Henley,no date has ben set This gives us a chance to run the “part time” tory MP story in Henley until such timeas a byelection is called.

  • And now just come and see us ! It’s going well, but we still need YOUR help.

Two gains last Thursday on the new Cheshire East UA, unprecedented levels of membership recruitment, and we ran out of posters. Don’t miss out!
