  • Thanks LGBT+ Lib Dems for providing the transcript.

I always want videos like this to be subtitled, but they so rarely are – when it benefits both people with hearing issues and those who don’t have speakers on their computer (or are watching in a situation where maybe they’d rather not have the sound on, like at work!) Transcripts aren’t quite as good as subtitles but are the next best thing, and much more googleable.

To be clear it’s far from being an issue just with Lib Dem videos – one of the places that never puts subtitles on its youtube content to my astonishment is the Govt Equalities Office. If anywhere should be doing accessiblity surely it’s them!
