The BNP like to style themselves as the party that tells the truth, which is why the tales of their fake photos and made-up statistics matter. Here’s the latest BNP fakery:
AN ex-Guardsman branded the BNP “scumbags” last night for using his photo and faked words on an election flyer.
Former Scots Guards NCO Stuart Walker, 37, was shocked to see a picture of himself in uniform outside Buckingham Palace on a poll leaflet.
He told The Sun: “I was completely outraged when I saw this leaflet. I think they got the photo off a website and the quote they’ve made up. They are scumbags and I’d never vote for them in a million years.”
Full story (including scan of the relevant part of the leaflet) on The Sun’s website.

and they do the same online http://www.labourlist.org/revealed_the_bnps_social_media_strategy_mark_hanson
Bloody hell, not ANOTHER Geoff Payne. 🙁
I think you’re all missing the point with the bnp blip. It’s the fact that they’re so fundamentally offensive that makes them such an attractive protest vote in the first place, because there’s really no better way to get the establishment parties to notice your protest and at the sand time there’s still no danger of them ever achieving any of their odious policies anyway.
I seriously doubt that those two Christian ladies (what has their faith got to do with it anyway?) were completely unaware of the bnp’s agenda, but neither do I imagine for a second that they support any of it. People don’t vote for small parties because they believe in their policies, people vote for small parties because of the message their vote sends to the big parties.
Oops, that post was meant for the thread below, sorry.
In my defense, this wouldn’t happen if the damned forum would stop automatically forwarding me to the god-awful mobile version no matter how many times I manually choose the main browser version.
In Burnley we have had a spate of fake Lib Dem leaflets for two years running. The leaflets are written in an Asian language that no-one locally would understand, carry Lib Dem logos and candidate photos, and are delivered in an area where there remains some racist sentiment. The intention is to associate the Lib Dems with mass immigration. We have had several sent to our Freepost address bearing hateful messages, presumably by people who have been taken in.
We have got the same leaflet in the NW and I think we can use it well against the BNP. Has anyone got any standard press releases or LD leaflet stories based on it?
If so please email to [email protected]
