This story must have felt like Christmas and Easter rolled into one for reporters at the Daily Mail – it’s got everything.
A ‘lesbian’ who dared to suggest she was better than a man has been jailed – for forcibly perfoming a drunken sex act on another women.
Teresa Cottingham, 35, drunkenly floored another woman with a martial arts move in a hotel room before throttling her and forcing a sex act on her.
Perhaps redemption is in sight, though. It turns out that Cottingham has since married a man and will, it must be hoped, be a reformed character after her time in prison is served.
Council backs down on CRB checks for lecturing to adults
Caerphilly County Borough Council has today backed down from its demands that performers and authors be CRB-checked before getting on stage in front of a grown-up audience.

That first story only appears to have been reported in the Mail and the Sun, and nowhere else (except a lot of repostings of those two stories). This is unusual for stories which are actually true. Can anybody substantiate it with a reputable source?
Can I just say how annoying these “Hover to Play” adverts are?
If people want to see the video they will click on the advert. They won’t hover over it so that the video will start in a few seconds. It’s obviously just designed to catch people who have no interest in the advert, but inadvertently leave the cursor over it.
